Composting is a very simple and effective way to reduce the amount of waste that enters our landfills. During this program, students will learn the concept of reducing waste by recycling and reusing. A short video showing a trip to the landfill and the recycling facility will give students a first-hand look at where their trash goes and how it can be recycled. Step-by-step instructions along with supplies will be provided for the classroom to make their own composting tower made from recycled 2-liter bottles.
