The Saginaw County Juvenile Center School is a part of the Saginaw Intermediate School District (SISD). It operates in accordance with the policies of the Michigan School Code, the Michigan Department of Education, SISD policies, and within the contractual agreement between the Saginaw County Juvenile Detention Center and the SISD.
The school is a year-round school, and is in session a minimum of 180 school days per year, for 1,098 instructional hours. Youth who enter the detention facility are enrolled into the school program the same day if school is in session, usually within one or two hours of detention admission. Click here to learn more.
