WHAT IS SAGINAW LEARN TO EARN ACADEMY?

Located at 1000 Tuscola, Saginaw Learn to Earn Academy is a public school academy founded on May 5, 2005. Learn to Earn Academy aims at recovering students who have dropped out of their high school program and providing them with a means of earning their diploma and opportunities for job development. The academy also provides highly qualified teachers, accommodations for special needs, the link to community employers and participates in MME testing.

Diplomas are granted upon completion of Michigan Merit Curriculum credits and a successful work experience.

The Learn to Earn Academy holds the following goals for its students:

  • Learn appropriate academic skills applicable to the work world
  • Appropriate approaches to job and career development
  • Become productive members of the community
  • Practice adherence to reasonable rules and expectations established by the Board of Trustees and prospective employers

SPECIALIZED PROGRAM

The Learn to Earn Academy offers the following related to vocational, work-related experiences:

  • The opportunity to earn money while taking part in the school program
  • Attainment of credits toward a diploma for successful work experiences
  • Successful work experiences

All Academic core courses are taught in alignment with State Standards and Benchmarks
