ELIGIBILITY

Saginaw Learn to Earn Academy is a school for students who have dropped out of high school. We accept general education students ages 14 to 20. If a student has already turned 20 or will be turning 20 before school begins they are not eligible for our program. We also accept special education students ages 14 to 26.

HOW TO ENROLL

Students who are interested in enrolling may call (989) 399-8775

The Academy may enroll a maximum of 200 students at any one time.  Criteria include students age 14 through 26, currently in grades 9, 10, 11, or 12.  Students considered "at-risk" of failing, currently truant, or not having been enrolled in a school are criteria for entrance into SL2EA.  Process for enrollment is for the parent or guardian of the student (unless the student is 18 years of age) to come to the school, complete an application, and interview with an administrator.  Virtually all who apply are enrolled, with the exception of students whose past indicate serious dangerous behavior (verified assault with weapons).  The lottery policy will be used if the Academy reaches its maximum number of students enrolled.  All admissions to the Academy shall be made without regard to religion, creed, race, color, sex, national origin, intellectual or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, or status as a person with disabilities.
