High School juniors and seniors throughout Saginaw County have the opportunity to experience their future through Career and Technical Education (CTE)! CTE programs provide students with hands-on skills, real-life experiences, and the technical training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. Programs also provide academic, technical, and employability skills with rigorous, integrated, and sequenced programs of study and career pathways. There are over 19 programs available at the Saginaw Career Complex (SCC) and other local school districts in Saginaw County.
M-46 Talent Consortium
The M-46 Talent Consortium is a group of 72 organizations committed to developing talent opportunities and pathways for all people, primarily in Saginaw and Muskegon counties, with a specific focus on providing our youth with the experiences and opportunities they need to find their career passion. In 2018, the group was awarded a grant of over $6 million from Michigan’s Marshall Plan for Talent which recognizes outstanding partnerships between educators, employers, and other key stakeholders whose goal is to improve the state’s talent pipeline. Over $5 million of those grant dollars stay in Saginaw County.
