TECHnical services 

Saginaw ISD's Technology Department creates conditions necessary for schools to effectively use technology for learning, teaching, educational management, and community collaboration. The Saginaw ISD Technology Department has three distinct components – Technical Services, Saginet, and REMC 9.

Technical Services provides technology leadership and infrastructure services, as well as fleet management and repair of educator and learner devices, for a number of LEAs and ISDs in both Saginaw and Midland counties.

Saginet is a fiber-optic network that connects Saginaw County school districts to the Saginaw ISD for a number of shared services, including safe connectivity to the internet, server and storage services, and more.

REMC 9 is the local branch of the Regional Educational Media Center (REMC) Association of Michigan. REMC 9 provides supports to local teachers through a variety of services including: professional learning series focused on technology integration, a MakerSpace library for teachers to borrow from, discounts on streaming services such as Discovery Education, and more.
