REMC 9 is the local branch of the Regional Educational Media Center (REMC) Association of Michigan. REMC 9 provides supports to local teachers and school districts through a variety of services including: discounts on streaming services, training and professional development, makerspace materials, and more. REMC members receive access to a host of Statewide REMC services, as well. These include the 21 Things program series, REMC Statewide $ave Bid program, and MI Streamnet for paid and legislative videos on educational issues. REMC memberships are effective from September 1st to August 31st and are billed in two increments based on student count.

A few ways schools take advantage of REMC 9
STEM Days: Running sessions during the day.
Consulting and Resource Support: Engage in collaborative brainstorming sessions to share and refine ideas, and explore resources and activities that align with the specific needs of your school or classroom.
Team Teaching Experience: Co-plan a lesson and teach it together, incorporating innovative ideas, technology, STEAM, or makerspace elements, to provide a dynamic learning experience for students.
Demonstration Lessons: Observe a demonstration of a STEAM or makerspace activity, or the use of a specific technology, directly in your classroom, providing a hands-on learning experience.
Free Professional Learning: We empower educators with free professional learning through virtual courses, face-to-face workshops, and hands-on training, all offering free SCECHs.
Bring hands-on STEM learning into your classroom with the REMC 9 STEM Lending Library! Educators can borrow engaging tools and equipment that support creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, coding, engineering, and scientific exploration—without the expense of purchasing them for their classrooms.
How It Works
With the new system please register as a member after clicking on the link below. Then click on Create an Account on the top right. Educators can browse the online collection, reserve available materials. Deliveries are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and select Fridays.
Whether you are introducing a new STEM concept, planning a special classroom project, or giving students an opportunity to explore emerging technology, the REMC 9 STEM Lending Library makes it easier to provide memorable, hands-on learning experiences.

What IS REMC SAVE?
REMC SAVE is a service of the REMC Association of Michigan for all public and private schools statewide and other public agencies. REMC SAVE contracts allow purchasing of a variety of products at highly competitive prices without the need to bid locally. REMC SAVE does the bidding, so you don't have to! REMC SAVE's process is compliant with the State of Michigan School Code requirements to bid on behalf of school districts. All contracts are awarded through a sealed bid process by the REMC Association of Michigan.
