Rooms is Saginaw ISD’s official communication tool for families. It is how teachers, schools, and the district share messages, classroom updates, and important information with parents and guardians in one secure place.

Rooms is used across all Saginaw ISD programs, including:

• Special Education programs at Millet Learning Center and the Transitions Center

• Early Childhood programs, including Head Start, Early Head Start, and GSRP, both at our anchor sites and at locations throughout Saginaw County

Rooms is provided by Apptegy and is built directly into the Saginaw ISD mobile app, so families don’t need to manage multiple communication platforms to stay informed.

Clear, consistent communication matters—especially when families are balancing work, home, and school responsibilities. Using one districtwide platform helps ensure important information is easy to find, delivered reliably, and shared consistently across programs and locations.

Rooms allows Saginaw ISD to:

• Reduce confusion caused by multiple apps or messaging systems

• Ensure families receive timely, accurate information

• Provide a secure and consistent communication experience

To support clarity for families, Saginaw ISD uses Rooms as its districtwide messaging platform. Platforms such as ClassDojo or Seesaw are not used for official district or classroom communication.

Rooms can be accessed through the Saginaw ISD app or on the web. The app is free and available on both Apple and Android devices. Using the Saginaw ISD app, families can easily move between district and school information and Rooms without needing a separate platform.

Getting Started in 3 Steps

1. Download the Saginaw ISD App (Available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store).

2. Log in to Rooms. Open the app, select Rooms, and sign in using your phone number or email address.

3. Set Your Notification Preferences: Choose how you want to receive messages, push notifications, text, or email.
