In collaboration with the YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region, Saginaw Intermediate School District is proud to share the announcement and celebration that our Executive Director of Career and Technical Education, Jenny Geno, is among six women being honored with the Women of Achievement Awards. The following media release is distributed on behalf of the YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region.

Great Lakes Bay Region - YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region will honor six female leaders from across the Great Lakes Bay Region, in addition to a long-time YWCA volunteer, during their Women of Achievement Awards luncheon on October 10, 2023. The awards honor women from the Great Lakes Bay Region who have demonstrated volunteer or professional activities and have made outstanding contributions in the categories of Business & Entrepreneurship, Civic & Nonprofit, Arts & Education, Healthcare, Social Justice & Advocacy, and Lifetime Achievement. The depth, breadth, and quality of relevant activity of the nominee were considered by the Selection Committee. “Each of the women selected to be honored this year has been an influential force in our community. The stories and achievements, the examples these women set for others, are worthy of celebration,” said Moira Branigan, Executive Director of the YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region.

The Lorraine Patterson Award, in recognition of her generous volunteerism and work for the advancement of women, will also be given to Ann Coburn-Collins during the ceremony as well. The awards ceremony is open to the public and will take place at the Doubletree by Hilton Bay City - Riverfront at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. ABOUT SAGINAW INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT

Saginaw Intermediate School District (ISD) is an educational service agency that provides effective and innovative leadership, services, resources, and programs throughout Saginaw County. Saginaw ISD provides career and technical education, early childhood, finance, human resources, instruction, pupil accounting, special education, technology, and transportation services.
