Saginaw Intermediate School District (ISD) is excited to announce the addition of AlwaysOn, an AI-powered chatbot developed for K–12 schools, now available on the district’s website. As part of this launch, Spark the Orange Frog, inspired by Saginaw ISD’s Happiness Advantage program, is adding to his responsibilities and taking on a new promotion as the district’s virtual website guide, helping visitors “hop around” the site to find information quickly and easily.

AlwaysOn, recently acquired by Apptegy, a leading provider of K–12 communication and brand management solutions, brings 24/7 multilingual support to families and community members. The chatbot enables users to ask questions and receive immediate answers, providing the district with real-time insights into what visitors are searching for. This integration aligns with Saginaw ISD’s mission to serve, innovate, and empower the students, families, and communities it supports.

“Adding AlwaysOn and introducing Spark as our website guide is another step in making communication more accessible and engaging for everyone we serve,” said Coty Kuschinsky, Chief of Staff & Communications Director at Saginaw ISD. “We want every family and community member to feel supported whenever they visit our site, day or night, in any language. Spark helps us do that while also giving us valuable feedback about what matters most to the people we serve.”

With AlwaysOn, visitors to the Saginaw ISD website can now:

  • Receive 24/7 answers to questions about programs, enrollment, events, and services.

  • Interact with the chatbot in their preferred language, improving accessibility and inclusivity.

  • Help the district better understand and respond to community needs through real-time insights into community engagement.

Spark’s new collaboration with AlwaysOn represents Saginaw ISD’s ongoing commitment to fostering positivity and connection, now extended into the digital experience. The friendly virtual assistant is designed to make navigation easier while reinforcing the district’s focus on strong relationships and clear communication.
