Educators across Saginaw County are once again being recognized for their commitment to building strong, supportive learning environments where every student can thrive.
The Michigan Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MiMTSS) Technical Assistance Center has announced its 2024–2025 award recipients, and several Saginaw ISD partner districts earned distinction for exemplary work in data utilization and implementation impact.
These awards recognize how local districts are utilizing data-driven systems to meet the academic and behavioral needs of all learners, ensuring that every child receives the appropriate level of support at the right time.
Birch Run Area Schools
Birch Run Area Schools earned recognition for MTSS Data Utilization through the District Capacity Assessment.
School Awards:
Birch Run High School – Reading
Marshall Greene Middle School – Reading
North Elementary School – Reading
The district also earned a Silver-level MTSS Implementation and Impact Award, with North Elementary receiving Bronze Awards for both Tier 1 Reading and Advanced Tiers Reading .
Chesaning Union Schools
Chesaning Union Schools received the MTSS Data Utilization Award for district-level leadership through the District Capacity Assessment.
School Awards:
Big Rock Elementary School – Reading (Bronze: Tier 1 & Advanced Tiers)
Chesaning Middle School – Reading (Bronze: Tier 1 & Advanced Tiers)
Chesaning Union High School – Reading & Behavior
The district also earned a Silver-level Implementation and Impact Award.
Carrollton Public Schools
Carrollton Public Schools earned the MTSS Data Utilization Award, recognizing districtwide use of the District Capacity Assessment to strengthen systems that drive student growth and continuous improvement.
Francis Reh Public School Academy
Francis Reh PSA was recognized for its commitment to continuous improvement and data-driven practices.

Frankenmuth School District
Frankenmuth’s Lorenz C. List School earned recognition for MTSS Data Utilization in Reading, highlighting its dedication to measuring and improving instructional fidelity throughout the 2024–2025 school year.
Merrill Community Schools
Merrill Community Schools was honored with the MTSS Data Utilization Award at the district level, while Merrill Elementary School earned multiple recognitions for Reading & Behavior and a Bronze Advanced Tiers Reading Implementation and Impact Award.
Saginaw Preparatory Academy
Saginaw Preparatory Academy earned both district and school-level honors for MTSS Data Utilization in Reading & Behavior, demonstrating ongoing dedication to using data to enhance student outcomes.
Hemlock Public Schools
Hemlock Public School District earned recognition for MTSS Data Utilization, highlighting a strong commitment to using fidelity data to guide instruction and support all learners.

K.C. Ling Elementary School – Reading
In addition, K.C. Ling Elementary School received a Bronze MTSS Implementation and Impact Award for Advanced Tiers Reading, celebrating its continued progress in implementing effective reading supports across grade levels
