The Saginaw Intermediate School District (ISD) has been recognized by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) with three national honors in the 2026 Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards program.
Saginaw ISD received two Awards of Merit and one Honorable Mention for communication efforts that highlighted the students, staff, families, and programs that make up the district community. The awards recognized:
• Award of Merit – Photo: Where Belonging Begins
• Award of Merit – Social Media: Dining With Dads
• Honorable Mention – Video Series: National Principals Month Series

The recognition comes as Saginaw ISD continues to expand its digital storytelling efforts, producing original photography, video, and social media content that highlights student success, innovative programs, and meaningful community partnerships.
NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards recognize outstanding communications materials and campaigns produced by school districts and educational organizations across the United States. Entries are evaluated by communication professionals and judged against organizations of similar size and type.
The award-winning Dining With Dads social media campaign highlighted the importance of family engagement and the connections formed when fathers and father figures participate in school activities. The post became one of Saginaw ISD’s most successful social media features of the year, generating more than 162,000 views and significant community engagement.
The Where Belonging Begins photograph captured the welcoming and inclusive environments that help students feel connected and supported. The National Principals Month Series celebrated school leaders across the district, showcasing their dedication to students, staff, and school communities.
“Kimberly has elevated the way we tell stories at Saginaw ISD,” said Coty Kuschinsky, Chief of Staff & Communications Director for Saginaw ISD. “Her work captures the connections, accomplishments, and everyday moments that define our schools and programs. These awards are a well-deserved recognition of her talent and creativity, but also her commitment to helping others see the impact of public education through authentic storytelling. Through initiatives like Our StoryⓇ, she continues to help showcase the partnership between students, staff, and families while celebrating the people and experiences that make our organization special.”
The recognition highlights Saginaw ISD’s ongoing commitment to transparent communication, community engagement, and celebrating the people who make a difference in the lives of students.
