The Great Start to Quality Eastern Resource Center had a fabulous Infant Toddler Academy this past Saturday. This conference is focused on infant and toddler teachers and caregivers. As our closing keynote, we had fantastic presenters, including Julie Hartley, Saginaw ISD. A huge #Orange shout-out to our Infant Toddler Specialists, Beth Eschenburg and Shannon Thompson, who lead this activity. A conference of this size must also pull in our entire Eastern RC team. Thank you ALL!

March is Reading Month—the perfect time to crack open a new book and get lost in a great story! Whether it’s a favorite classic or something new, every page is an adventure waiting to happen. Dr. Collier joined in the fun with a visit to our Claytor Preschool, where he read Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. 🚍📖 #ReadingMonth #OurStory

Did you know that his first book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, was rejected by 27 publishers before it was finally published in 1937? Executive Director of Early Childhood Dr. Taylor would like to nominate Joani Leisen and Shannon Thompson for an Orange Spot Recognition. We received an email from a childcare provider in Genesee County who gave the following "orange" statement: "Thank you so much, Joani Leisen and Shannon Thompson from Great Start...you both have been a true inspiration, emotional support, guidance in daycare information, research and a collaboration of extraordinary workmanship, information, kindness, and friendship, it has been my pleasure to work with you. An AMAZING TEAM." We are proud of the examples they provide to our families and providers! #OrangeSpot #SaginawISD #OurStory
