What an amazing experience! Dr. Collier and Dr. Senkowski had the privilege of attending today’s State Championship FIRST Robotics Competition at Saginaw Valley State University as VIP education ambassadors.
While graciously adopted by outstanding student ambassadors from Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy and Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, they were especially proud to cheer on the qualifying Saginaw County high school teams from Freeland, Hemlock, Heritage, SASA, and Merrill.

We were proud to join our neighbors at Saginaw Public Schools’ Henry Doerr Early Childhood Center as Governor Whitmer celebrated a record 55,000 children enrolled in the Great Start Readiness Program through Pre-K for All. Deputy Superintendent Dr. Erin Senkowski and Chief of Staff Coty Kuschinsky were in attendance in support of our county-wide GSRP efforts and expanding access for families. These continued investments are helping more children enter kindergarten ready to learn while providing meaningful cost relief. Expanding collaborative opportunities: We love welcoming our county Superintendents to Central Campus! This week, Ron Stanley (St. Charles) supported countywide CTE video productions in our Saginaw Room, and Jamie Kraatz (Saginaw Township) hosted a podcast in our Gratiot Room.


It was a pleasure to host Elizabeth Taylor, Executive Director of the Mid-Michigan Manufacturers Association. We had a great conversation exploring opportunities to strengthen communication, deepen connections, and expand student programming. Excited for future possibilities!

In celebration of March is Reading Month, the Superintendent’s Office spent time reading with students at Claytor Preschool yesterday. Thank you to the incredible teachers, our wonderful students, and Principal Tia Hahn for welcoming us into your classrooms. It was truly a bucket-filling day!
