STOP ✋ — these dirty hands are growing something BIG. 🌱 Our preschoolers planted the seeds they’ve been nurturing with the help of Ms. Chrissy, Hemmeter’s Master Gardener… proving learning is best done with mud on your hands and smiles on your faces. 💚 #DirtyHandsHappyHearts #LittleGardeners #PreschoolMagic #GrowingTogether

Families from Saginaw ISD’s Brucker Preschool Parent Club recently had the opportunity to learn more about the ICAN Literacy Project from Ms. Tracey. She provided books for children to take home and enjoy with their families.

The group also spent time planting flowers that the children were able to take home. Flowers, soil, and pots were generously donated by Abele Greenhouse and Garden Center.

The spring season has brought new adventures for Murphy Farm Preschoolers as they embark on their daily hikes! Students built sandcastles by the pond, practiced riding down hills on their balance bikes, and explored a new path that led to the perfect fishing spot. With a little creativity, they even made their own fishing pole using sticks!

We were proud to join our neighbors at Saginaw Public Schools’ Henry Doerr Early Childhood Center as Governor Whitmer celebrated a record 55,000 children enrolled in the Great Start Readiness Program through Pre-K for All. Deputy Superintendent Dr. Erin Senkowski and Chief of Staff Coty Kuschinsky were in attendance in support of our county-wide GSRP efforts and expanding access for families. These continued investments are helping more children enter kindergarten ready to learn while providing meaningful cost relief. Families can get started today by visiting earlychildhood.sisd.cc to enroll.

Principal Nichols and Ms. Rabadue would like to extend a sincere thank you to Walmart off Bay Road for their generous donation of gross motor and greenhouse supplies to the students at Jerome.

Thanks to this contribution, our students will have new opportunities to strengthen gross motor development while also engaging in hands-on experiences in our greenhouse.

We are grateful for community partners like Manager Ted and Cashier Leon who helped support meaningful, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for our youngest learners.

Last week we had a great turnout of readers for our Month of Reading, and we truly enjoyed having you in the classroom! 📚

We love welcoming families who want to share a story with our students. If you’re interested in visiting the classroom to read with us, please contact the teacher to arrange a time. Your support helps make reading even more special for the kids.

The flooded fields at Murphy Farm Preschool turned into a day of boating experiences for the kids in Ms. Megan's classroom. They took a ride in the canoe and tested to see if their homemade boats would sink or float. How cool! #SaginawISD #OurStory
