Congratulations to our Director of CTE, Josh Miller, on his first time presenting to the Board of Education this week! Josh provided an update on the continued growth of the Saginaw Career Complex, including nearly doubling student enrollment since the passage of the 2018 CTE Millage. As the fiscal agent of the millage, Saginaw ISD has distributed more than $20 million in reimbursements to our local school districts over time, removing financial barriers and expanding access to high-quality CTE programming for students across Saginaw County.
We’re looking forward to expanding additional programs at SCC, pending approval, and to continuing to build on this momentum. We’re also grateful for the strong partnership with Saginaw Public Schools and for SCC Principal Ben Leal, who attended the meeting and continues to support this important work. Well done, Josh! #CTEMonth #SaginawCountyCTE #OrangeSpot

This positive ORANGE message came into our preschool comment box this week, and it is a perfect reminder of the great things our leadership team does for our teachers and staff on a daily basis!" Thank you, Ashley Reed, for sharing such a positive message about your supervisor!
"I am coming up on my 5-year anniversary, and in the 5 years, I have had a different supervisor for every year I’ve been there. I want to say that Frankie Lopez is by far the best supervisor I’ve worked under. I recently had the chance to work with her in the classroom and met Teacher Frankie. I respect her input and help. She pushes me to do better, she’s involved, kind, patient, and not afraid to give constructive criticism. I wanted to say I’m happy to work under her in the workplace."
