Let's Talk About Functional Movement 🏃‍♀️💪 The Saginaw ISD Wellness Committee would like to share the importance of maintaining good functional movement. It's essential for staying active, preventing injury, and improving overall quality of life—both at work and at home. Functional movement focuses on how well your body moves during everyday tasks like bending, lifting, walking, or even sitting. Over time, small changes in mobility and strength can make a big difference. Check out the attached flyer for tips to help improve your movement and feel your best throughout the day. #SaginawISD

How does the Michigan Lottery really impact schools? Some funding does go to K-12 public education, but it’s not as much as many people think. For every $1 spent on the lottery, only about 26¢ goes toward schools, and in the bigger picture, lottery dollars make up just 5% of Michigan’s $23 billion school budget.

The Saginaw ISD School to Work Team & Transition Center is one of only three schools in Saginaw County selected for the Paint-A-Plow Program with the Saginaw County Road Commission. This year’s theme, “Snow Means Slow,” is already underway as our students—alongside Chico Ramos, Ashley Howey, and Suzanna Williams—painted the base coat with expert guidance from Jim Crawford of Northeastern Paint and Crawford & Crawford Home Services. We’re proud of our students’ hard work and can’t wait to share more updates as this plow transforms into a masterpiece! ❄
