Program Director of Great Start to Quality Resource Center, Eastern Region Julie Bash would like to give a big orange shout-out to Joani Liesen, Quality Improvement Specialist, for going above and beyond to provide high-quality service with the programs she supports. Joani recently received this email from a childcare provider in Genesee County. Julie says, "Thank you, Joani! It was great seeing you. Even with that difficult job, your positivity fills the room! I have to tell you that I have talked to several other providers who always rave about your willingness to listen and help with such encouragement. You are really appreciated." #OrangeSpot Thanks for all you do, Joani!

Last night marked the grand finale of our Healthcare Explorers program, and what an adventure it's been! Our eager explorers embarked on a journey through the corridors of Great Lakes Bay Health Center's Downtown location, and oh boy, was it an eye-opener! They were able to get inside and see the inner workings of the Mobile Medical Van which is equipped to bring healthcare right to the doorstep of those in need. Talk about healthcare on the move! The Optometry Department showed off its funky frames and cutting-edge technology while our explorers got a glimpse of how vision care is done with style and precision. Who knew eye exams could be so cool? Last but definitely not least, they delved into a world of support, compassion, and healing. It's incredible to see how GLBHC prioritizes mental well-being, making a real difference in people's lives. Huge thanks to Great Lakes Bay Health Center for opening their doors and minds to our eager younger learners. Until next time, keep exploring and keep inspiring! #cteworks #ctestrong #careerexploration
