The #MilletMustangs continue to enjoy their time at summer camp. In keeping with this year’s theme of “Under the Sea,” #CampMillet campers and counselors enjoyed a sensory friendly trip to Emagine Theaters in Birch Run to see Disney’s new release of “The Little Mermaid.” A sensory friendly movie is shown without previews, with the sound turned down, and sometimes with the lights left on. It’s an environment that’s judgment-free, where it’s ok to talk, sing, walk around and even dance! For many campers, this was their first experience in a movie theater. After seeing a sensory-friendly movie with the support of trained staff, students will have the prerequisite knowledge to hopefully go see a movie with their families! #SaginawISD #OurStory
