The students in Mrs. Jacques’ class made a delicious pudding using a switch-adapted mixer. A tasty way to work on daily living skills and build independence.

We were proud to join our neighbors at Saginaw Public Schools’ Henry Doerr Early Childhood Center as Governor Whitmer celebrated a record 55,000 children enrolled in the Great Start Readiness Program through Pre-K for All. Deputy Superintendent Dr. Erin Senkowski and Chief of Staff Coty Kuschinsky were in attendance in support of our county-wide GSRP efforts and expanding access for families. These continued investments are helping more children enter kindergarten ready to learn while providing meaningful cost relief. Families can get started today by visiting earlychildhood.sisd.cc to enroll.

Principal Nichols and Ms. Rabadue would like to extend a sincere thank you to Walmart off Bay Road for their generous donation of gross motor and greenhouse supplies to the students at Jerome.

Thanks to this contribution, our students will have new opportunities to strengthen gross motor development while also engaging in hands-on experiences in our greenhouse.

We are grateful for community partners like Manager Ted and Cashier Leon who helped support meaningful, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for our youngest learners.

It’s beginning to look a lot like spring! 🌱🌷

Our SOAR worksite students and staff have been hard at work all school year preparing, planting, and maintaining flowers and plants for the Transitions Center’s annual plant sale later this spring.

When they’re not in the greenhouse, students are building valuable skills at Abele’s Greenhouse. This week alone, they assembled more than 1,700 flats, which were placed on pallets for our local worksite partner—an incredible accomplishment!

Great work, everyone! 👏
