SOAR students in Mrs. Jakes and Mrs. Hawkins classes were inspired by Lonnie Johnson's story in the book titled, Whoosh! They invented toys and games using recycled materials. They made robots, board games, rockets and a voice activated airplane. Thank You REMC 9 for this amazing opportunity for our students.

Kolb Elementary kindergarten students had a unique learning opportunity while attending the Hartley Outdoor Education Center. While here the students read “The Log Hotel” book and then explored nature to discover the trees, plants,insects, animals, and more found in the book. Meet today's Spotlight Grad Ta'Tiahna:
Ta'Tiahna has made the most of her two years at SOAR. She participated in the Covenant Summer Project, which led to a permanent job at Covenant. She completed the Nursing Program at SCC, which led to her enrollment at Delta College for the Fall. Finally, she achieved the goals she set for herself at SOAR. Ta'Tiahna is a leader and role model.
