Today's spotlight is shining bright on SOAR Grad Ben. Ben came to the SOAR Program after completing his general studies at Frankenmuth High School. Ben excelled at every worksite he attended, which led to him being successfully employed as a car detailer. When asked what he would miss the most about the school, Ben said the friends he made. #SaginawISD #SOARGrad2023 #OurStory

Celebrating the leadership of CTE Career Counselor Consultant, Tina Bacigalupo, today! She has worked tirelessly to help bring the vision of offering a community arts and mental health conference to fruition and her leadership was on full display today at the Pit and Balcony Community Theater. She also made sure there were plenty of opportunities for our Saginaw County Youth Ambassadors to shine! Pictured here is Emily Smith, Chesaning High School senior. Today was a great reminder of just how awesome Saginaw is! #Saginawesome

Meet today's Spotlight Grad, Courtney. The light her smile shines can brighten any dark room and cheer up anyone's day. Courtney's infectious giggle can be heard throughout the halls. Courtney's favorite experience in the SOAR Program has been the worksites, with Jet's Pizza being her favorite. After graduation, Courtney will continue working at her family's business and going out to dinner, her favorite topic of discussion! #SaginawISD #SOARGrad2023

The amazing Phil Eich took time out of his day today to talk to the Saginaw Career Complex’s Entrepreneurship and Graphic Design students. The SCC Entrepreneurship Academy often meets in the SVSU space in downtown Saginaw, where Phil engaged students in a rich dialogue. Here are a few takeaways: - Every single person you will ever meet has the potential to change your life—and you have the opportunity to change theirs. - The quality of your interaction with others often determines the quality of your life. - Our attention is one of the greatest gifts we can give someone. - The most significant challenges will be hard, but they can also hold the key to doing powerful, transformative, unique, and necessary work. - Pursuing a purpose is more important than pursuing a passion.
