Lane Miller - Received his State FFA Degree
Katie Wirostek, Isabella Valley, Julia Lanczynski, Abigail VanHaaren, Shyanne Sutter, and Matthew Specht were recognized as State Outstanding Juniors
Isabella Valley, Abigail VanHaaren, and Shyanne Sutter received State Silver Awards for Academic Excellence
Pierce VanHaaren (tuba) and Brooklynn Harris (clarinet) for their participation in FFA State Band
Lilly Tomac received a Silver award in Junior High Public Speaking for her speech on the Reintroduction of Arctic Grayling in Michigan.
Lilly Tomac and Pierce VanHaaren were the State Winners in the Agriscience Fair in Animals Systems Division IV for their Project called A Two Year Study on two-Yeart of the pH of Water on the Growth of Broiler Chickens
Sterling Tomac was the State Winner in the Agriscience Fair in Environmental Services/Natural Resource Systems Division III for his project called A Study of the Impact of Biodegradable versus Conventional Hydraulic Oil in an Aquatic System
The science fair winners will have the opportunity to submit their projects for consideration in the National FFA Agriscience Fair, which will be held in October at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Eastern Resource Center Team is excited to welcome Danya El-Amin, owner of ABC & Me, LLC, as a newly licensed Family Home provider in Saginaw County. With the help of a pre-licensure grant, Danya was able to fulfill her ambition of opening her own childcare. Our Quality Improvement Specialist, Rosanna Keller, supported Danya in the Quality Improvement process and emphasized the importance of quality in her program. Congratulations to the Frankenmuth DECA team that had 36 students attend the state conference this past week!
The team of Melody Compton (left) and Hannah Grimshaw (right) took medals in the Business Law and Ethics competition and will be competing at the International Career Development Conference later this spring.
Additionally, the Frankenmuth team raised $1,400 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and achieved Thrive and Membership campaigns!
We are so proud of our student leaders with extra kudos to Ryan Ford, Frankenmuth CTE Teacher and DECA advisor, for his hard work in preparing students. #SaginawISD #CTE


Our Healthy Families America and MI-APPP families had the opportunity to create a vision board outlining their individualized goals.
