Tenth grade career days at the Saginaw Career Complex are here! Students from all over Saginaw County attend three programs of their choosing to explore careers of interest through hands-on experiences! Students may then work with their high school counselors to select a program of interest to sign up for, that aligns to their career goals.
Note: SCC open house is February 2, 5-7pm! All are welcome!!

Our Administrative Council spent the afternoon learning about legislative advocacy. A special thank you to State Representatives Amos O’Neal and Matthew Bierlein, Senator Roger Hauck, alongside individuals from the offices of Senator Kristen McDonald Rivet, Congressman Dan Kildee and Governor Gretchen Whitmer for joining us today on our legislative panel. It was an outstanding discussion!

Medicaid and Data Systems Specialist Holli Penny spent the morning delivering thank you gifts to Saginaw County staff members that have logged Medicaid services in the month of December. Any staff members that logs for Medicaid each month are put into a random drawing for a special delivery. Speech Pathologist in Merrill Jill Asiala, Millet Paraprofessional Desiree McKeown and Chesaning Middle School Special Education Teacher Madison Hafner were December's random winners. One staff member was off today so there will be another delivery on Monday. Looking forward to next month's winners. #SaginawISD
