Saginaw ISD is celebrating the fourth cohort of our employee welcome! #SaginawISD


First year teacher, Linnea Nelson, uses a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of her students with autism. Here, she is seen utilizing the interactive whiteboard to teach her students the concept of “opposites.” Linnea is currently working towards becoming a fully certified special education teacher by using an alternative pathway to certification. These alternative programs were established by the State of Michigan to address the significant teacher shortage, particularly in areas identified as high need such as special education and early childhood.



Graduate Spotlight
2020 GLBEC Graduate Brian Lindner will graduate from SVSU in May with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology and Emergency Management. Briana plans to either attend Law School or a Graduate Program to work on policy making. #SaginawISD #GLBEC #EarlyCollege #SVSU
