Over the last two days our STEM director & current REMC president Mark Lyons, assisted in running the REMC Meet-Up which provided directors from around the state updates on the progress of the work identified at the 2022 Summer Inservice.





Governor Whitmer signed the bill for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship today!!
Components of the scholarship include:
Beginning with the class of 2023, students will be able to receive:
$2,750 a year if they attend community college
$5,500 a year if they attend a public university
4,000 a year if they attend a private college or university

Students from R.B. Havens Elementary explored the Wetlands at Hartley. After scooping up some cool organisms, the young scientists used microscopes to get an up close look at their catch. #HartleyOEC #SaginawISD




The College and Career Advisors spent the day learning about the new application process for the Saginaw Community Foundation scholarship portal. This training was conducted by Chamika Ford, Project Coordinator, from the SCF.

Carrollton students successfully built fires and boiled water during Hatchet Survival class at Hartley this week. The class is based on the book “Hatchet” by Gary Paulsen, which the kids had read before coming to Hartley. Good work!
