Kevin Friley, DNR Education Services Manager shared an awesome program called Nature at School. A slate of free, live, interactive, virtual lessons with DNR educators. Developed for classroom teachers of grades 3-12.

Mr. Palmer's "On Your Own Math" students from the SOAR Program went to Meijer to check out the prices for Thanksgiving dinner. They now understand the meaning of sticker shock.

Transitions Center SOAR students ventured out to Hoyt Library with their new library cards yesterday. They were in awe of the history and beauty of the library.

SOAR students learned to make oatmeal in Home Basics class. They had to go shopping for the ingredients and choose the products that were the healthiest option at the best price. They made AMAZING choices!

It was a beautiful day for students to learn how to build a fire in survival class. All four groups of Freeland kids built a shelter, started a fire, boiled water and cooked an egg. Hopefully todays groups do just as well! #HartleyOEC
