Graduate Spotlight-Kelly Winters Kelly graduated from GLBEC and Delta College in 2019 (earning an Associate of Arts Degree and a technical writing certificate). She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Production in May 2021. She now resides in New York City, pursuing a Master of Art in Cinema Studies at New York University while working in production at the Fox News World Headquarters. After completing her Master's degree, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in media studies. #SaginawISD #GLBEC #Early College

A big shout out to Midland Center for the Arts and Ms. Katie Miller for sharing an engaging, inspirational virtual livestream of “Artrageous” to Millet! Artrageous incorporates many types of art including music, dance, painting, and puppetry inspired by history to tell stories. Our students enjoyed singing and clapping along with the performers!

Did you know that Hartley Outdoor Education Center has a Federal Bird Banding Permit issued by the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center -Bird Banding Laboratory which allows us to band all species except waterfowl, eagles and any threatened or endangered species? This past week for the students from Bryant Elementary the staff captured and banded a male White-breasted nuthatch! What an awesome hands-on learning experience for the students.
