Summer is for all kinds of outdoor fun! However, with more going on outside, it’s also a time known for spikes in accidents and injuries. With the right safety measures, you can enjoy the longer days and warmer weather without risking your health and safety. This week, the Wellness Committee would like to remind you of some biking and hiking safety tips to keep you and your family safe during these summer activities!

Biking & Hiking Safety
• Wear bright clothing: Boost visibility by dressing in bright or reflective gear.
• Stick to daylight hours: Avoid hiking or biking before sunrise or after sunset.
• Stay hydrated and sun-safe: Bring water, wear a hat and sunglasses, and apply sunscreen before heading out (remember to reapply every two hours you’re outside).
