"A huge "ORANGE" shout-out to Program Secretary Karen Huff for the incredible work she does every single day! Her sharp attention to detail and thoughtful questions truly make a difference in ensuring everything runs smoothly. On top of that, her warm smile and can-do attitude make her an absolute joy to work with — even when I drop by unannounced, she’s ready to help without hesitation. Karen, thank you for going above and beyond. You're doing an amazing job, and it does not go unnoticed!" - Tammy Cavendish, Director of Finance

The Wellness Committee would like to remind everyone how essential it is to create an ergonomic workspace that supports comfort, health, and productivity. A properly aligned desk and chair setup helps maintain good posture, keeping wrists straight, elbows at or below hip level, and knees even with the hips. Monitors should be about an arm’s length away, with the top of the screen at or just below eye level. For laptop users, using an external keyboard and raising the screen can reduce neck and shoulder strain. To minimize fatigue, it’s also helpful to keep frequently used items within reach, alternate between sitting and standing, and take short movement breaks throughout the day. If you have eye strain throughout the day, even after maintaining a proper distance away from your monitor, consider asking your Eye Doctor about UV/Blue Light glasses. #SISDWellnessCommittee #workspacetips #healthyworkspace
