Candice Ahrens, special education teacher at Millet Learning Center, is proud to nominate Elizabeth Roxbury, Program Director at Hartley Outdoor Education Center, for Orange Spot recognition as an outstanding camp director. Liz’s energy, compassion, and leadership have created an environment where both campers and staff thrive. From the first day of camp, she sets a positive tone through thoughtful planning, inclusive practices, and genuine care for every individual. Liz consistently goes above and beyond to ensure camp runs smoothly while also making it a joyful and growth-centered experience. She mentors staff, supports campers with empathy, and addresses challenges with creativity. Her vision and values are reflected in every part of the program, and her impact continues long after camp ends. Liz inspires trust, builds strong connections, and brings out the best in those around her. She is truly deserving of this recognition. #OrangeSpot
