Saginaw ISD's Executive Director of Instructional Services, Vic Bugni, and SVSU's Assistant Professor of Teacher Education, Dr. Julie Brehmer, joined WNEM TV5's Blake Keller to highlight the incredible literacy initiatives shaping Mid-Michigan classrooms! At Saginaw ISD, we know that strong literacy skills open doors for students, and we appreciate our partnership with Saginaw Valley State University in preparing teachers—not just with their degrees, but through continued professional development that makes a lasting impact. https://youtu.be/e1zNMQHFetI

Yesterday, nearly 200 students from the Skilled Trades programs at the Saginaw Career Complex had an incredible opportunity to network with local employers at the City of Saginaw Construction Trades Fair. Students explored career paths in various city departments and met with contractors who work with the city. They gained firsthand insights into different industries. Events like this help students develop their professional skills, build confidence, and learn how to market themselves when speaking with potential employers. A huge thank you to the City of Saginaw and Ann Marie Batkoski, Saginaw ISD Business Partnership Consultant, for making this hands-on career exploration experience possible! #cteworks #ctestrong #careerexploration
