BRUNKOW PRESCHOOL FIRE UPDATE: This morning, a fire occurred at Brunkow Preschool. At approximately 7:45 a.m., staff noticed a smell and discovered smoke. Students had just started arriving and were immediately evacuated. Thanks to our emergency response procedures, all nine students and 32 staff members were safely evacuated without harm. Buses were rerouted, and parents were notified to pick up their children or expect buses to return them home. The Saginaw, Bridgeport, and Buena Vista Fire Departments responded to the scene, and the fire was confirmed to be fully extinguished by 9:30 a.m. We are currently working on plans for the 10 displaced classrooms, affecting 144 students. Updates will be shared as soon as possible. Please follow this page and check your email and text messages for further updates. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Chief of Staff Coty Kuschinsky at ckuschinsky@sisd.cc or call 989-249-8738. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

Saginaw County Student Ambassadors Cohort 4 kicked off their year with an exciting field trip! They explored local natural resources and tourism, starting with a bus tour of Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, led by Andrea Martinson. Next, they visited Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, where Autumn Bronner shared the store's history and treated them to homemade cookies. The day continued with fun at The Bavarian Inn’s Waterpark and a discussion on regional tourism with Go Great Lakes Bay’s Kalya Pionk. Stay tuned for more adventures! #StudentAmbassadors #OurStory #SaginawISD #SaginawTodayAndTheFuture
