GREAT START READINESS PROGRAM
Children who attend a high-quality program in the year or two before kindergarten are better prepared for school academically, socially, and emotionally. Children provided with a high-quality preschool experience show significant positive developmental differences when compared to children from the same backgrounds who did not attend a high-quality preschool program. High-quality GSRP programs prepare children to be successful in Kindergarten and throughout life. GSRP encourages the development of children and prepares them for successful entry into Kindergarten using developmentally appropriate practices in a play-based curriculum.
