Our School to Work (STW) team had a productive morning helping students in Mrs. Spurling's SOAR Job Club class refine their resumes. Saginaw County Youth Ambassadors: Education & Training Day! Cohort 4 had an amazing field trip this month, exploring the world of Education and Training opportunities in Saginaw County! They started their day at Local 85 Plumbers, Steamfitters, and HVAC, where they learned valuable trade skills, including welding, brazing, and soldering; Next, they visited Stone Elementary to read to first graders and shared gratitude through a heartwarming Thanksgiving project. The day wrapped up at Saginaw Valley State University, where they explored college admissions, enjoyed lunch at the Marketplace, and let their creativity shine in the Innovation Lab. A huge thank you to their coach, Amanda Koch, and field trip guide, Ann Marie Batkoski, both from the amazing Saginaw ISD CTE team, for making this experience unforgettable.
