Last week, the Computer Science for All team at Jerome STEM Campus reached a milestone moment in early childhood education. The team partnered with Cheryl Wilson from the Michigan Department of Education to develop the schools first Strategic CSforALL Resource and Implementation Planning framework, also known as the SCRIPT. This work establishes a powerful roadmap for the future of computer science instruction at Jerome.

With the leadership and innovation of this forward-thinking team, Jerome is now the FIRST early childhood campus in the state to complete this groundbreaking achievement. The CSforALL SCRIPT outlines clear 3, 6, 12, and 36 month goals focused on curriculum, leadership development, teacher professional learning, and infrastructure, all in support of Michigan’s statewide mission to expand equitable access to computer science for all students.

Volunteers from Ms. Steckly's classroom at Jerome rolled up their sleeves to transplant a variety of pepper plants including Cayenne and Poblano, bringing new life to their school greenhouse. They nourished the hydroponics unit with fresh fertilizer and planted new seedlings, preparing a vibrant start for the spring growing season. This hands-on garden experience inspired teamwork, environmental stewardship, and a deeper connection to the natural world.

Our Executive Director of Human Resources (HR), Andrea Wise, would like to nominate HR Director Jenn Grigg for an Orange Spot in recognition of her exceptional work implementing the BambooHR applicant tracking system for the district. Jenn led this project to align with district needs while enhancing the experience for applicants, hiring managers, and HR staff. As a result of Jenn’s efforts, the district now benefits from a more efficient, organized, and compliant recruitment process.
