Today students from throughout Saginaw County participated in Military Camp that was provided by Michigan Army National Guard Recruiting. The students spent the day going through hands-on experiences where they learned basic tactical training, medical triage, how to use night vision goggles (night operation devices), riding inside military vehicles, and the importance of field equipment such as scopes, binoculars, radar systems, and drones. At the end of the day, the students participated in an obstacle course and listened to a presentation about the opportunities available to them after high school. Each student was excited to receive some swag courtesy of the Army National Guard! Thank you to Sergeant Barnes and Mr. Barlow for making today a great day for kids!
