Opportunity for Residents of Saginaw Township:
It's estimated that more than 27% of Michigan's K-12 students lack access to broadband internet, and in Saginaw Township, those numbers could be much higher. A lack of home internet has demonstrable effects on learning outcomes for our students. Those without home connections perform worse on standardized tests, receive lower overall GPAs and have a lower intention of pursuing higher education. As you may know, Saginaw Township is partnering with the schools to explore broadband internet expansion in our area. The first step in this process is gathering a better understanding of who does not have internet in the Township, as well as the additional needs, service satisfaction and connection speeds of those who do have internet access. The Township is gathering this information through a survey project in partnership with the Merit Network Michigan Moonshot.
Your help is CRITICAL to the success of the survey project. Would you take a few minutes to fill out this short survey? The survey can be accessed at MichiganMoonshot.org/SaginawTwp. If you don't have Internet service, visit the webpage on a cellular web browser or text @moon to (855) 613-1746. If you would like to request a paper survey or have questions, please call (989) 791-9800 or visit the website above.
