Birch Run High School hosted a College & Skilled Trades Fair this week for their students who are exploring all the amazing pathways available after high school! Whether it's pursuing a degree, joining a skilled trade, or stepping straight into the workforce, there's something for everyone. The Saginaw ISD's CTE Team loves supporting the local school districts to help make these connections possible and provide real opportunities for students' futures. Our STEM Director, Mark Lyons, participated in professional development in the U.P. with REMC Instructional Technology Specialists from across the state. The first stop was Calumet Electronics, which was known for producing circuit boards for NASA and the military. Next, they explored the Quincy Mine, part of the Keweenaw National Historical Park, gaining insight into the region's rich history. Finally, the group visited Michigan Tech, where they spent time at the Great Lakes Research Center and learned about the innovative work at the Geospatial Research Facility. #SaginawISD
