Today Handley Elementary students had the opportunity to experience Pioneer Heritage class inside the Schroeder Log Cabin that was built in 1896. Very exciting that âMr. Schroederâ himself taught the class! What an amazing, hands-on learning experience for the Handley students.

This truly warms the heart of our STEM/REMC Director, Mark Lyons. A hand written note from the teacher Mrs. Tabacsko means so much. And cookies made by the students are a pretty good gesture :)

Listening to inspiring opening messages by the National Head Start Association Executive Director Yasmina Vinci & Dr. Deborah Bergeron, Director of the Office of Early Childhood Development.

What a great day of professional learning for our Saginaw County counselors and career readiness team! Led by our good friend Tony Warren from Calhoun ISD and SISD counselor consultant Tina Bacigalupo, teams dug into data driven counseling practices, career development, and equity. We appreciate everyone that took time out of their busy day to be part of this important workshop.

Dr. Scott Koenigsknecht, Deputy Superintendent of CTE and Early Childhood for Michigan and Dr. Brian Pyles, State Director for CTE visited the Saginaw Career Complex today to learn more about CTE in Saginaw County. We were honored to spend our morning with them, highlighting accomplishments and students!

"This is Saginaw. We build talent." I wish to thank Dr. Scott Koenigsknecht and Dr. Brian Pyles for joining local business partners, county superintendents, and instructional leaders for touring the Saginaw Career Complex and discussing our diverse student programs! #SaginawISD
