At today's Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce Percolator Breakfast, we had the privilege of hearing from Wendy Groll, who is a master trainer with Dale Carnegie. She has worked tirelessly with our youth ambassadors to bring this exceptional leadership training to that program. We also had the opportunity to hear from Josh Little, Saginaw Career Complex Principal, as he provided an inside look at the programs offered at SCC, which is the countywide career and technical education site for students in Saginaw County. #CTE

What are "Core Words?"
Core words are a small set of simple words that make up 80% of words used in everyday communication. For non-verbal students, learning these words and having the appropriate tools to use them is essential for their ability to communicate wants and needs throughout their day. Millet Learning Center has, therefore, adopted a robust Core Word initiative to ensure all of their students can communicate across multiple settings. Pictured here, a student is using the word "go" to indicate he is ready to take his turn during his adapted PE class! #AAC #CoreWords #SaginawISD #OurStory #MilletMustangs
