An accomplished author, Larry Preston, recently visited our Rotary Club of Saginaw Valley to share insights about his latest book, Forged Fates. The novel is set in Saginaw, Michigan, and explores the rich history of our beautiful city, making it a compelling read. The Michigan Army National Guard, in conjunction with The Saginaw ISD and the Saginaw Career Complex, will conduct their 2nd annual military camp on Wednesday, June 28th, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. for 8th - 11th grade students. SOAR students in Mrs. Jakes and Mrs. Hawkins classes were inspired by Lonnie Johnson's story in the book titled, Whoosh! They invented toys and games using recycled materials. They made robots, board games, rockets and a voice activated airplane. Thank You REMC 9 for this amazing opportunity for our students.
