Hartley OEC welcomed over 120 kindergartners from Swan Valley today for a day trip. They were able to explore different animal habitats, see some live animals, play outdoor games and look through many log hotels. What an amazing experience for the students and our staff!

What a great day in Lansing! Our annual CTE Showcase was back on this year! Special thanks to all of the legislators and Michigan Department of Education staff for taking the time out of their busy schedules to meet with CTE students from around the state! Special thanks to Rodney Wakeman for giving our students a tour! They had never been to the Capitol before, so this was a special treat!! We appreciate all of our legislators advocacy and support of CTE!!

Congratulations to March Orange Spot Award recipient Takesha Montgomery, Human Resources Coordinator! Takesha was nominated by Alyssa Aguirre who wrote, "Kesha has been my go-to since the start of my employment with the SISD. She has stayed late to help me out, picked-up in the middle of projects without even being asked, answers all of my questions with a smile on her face, and is so great at explaining/teaching. She genuinely loves to help those around her and does so without hesitation. You are the true definition of a team player, Kesha! Thank you for all that you do!"
