Millet’s Kind Gardeners make sure to water all of their plants every day.





Today Mrs. Tabacsko gave a demonstration on how to make a 2 layer chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. She showed students how to level it, crumb coat it (with help from Ms. Lyon) and decorate it using different Wilton tips. Students also star-tipped cookies.

Saginaw ISD Early Childhood leaders, Dr. Ericka Taylor and Sabrina Jackson, presented to the Saginaw ISD Board of Education about the fantastic preschool, early childhood, and parenting service programs they support. Wonderful leadership!


Hartley OEC is excited to welcome back Bethlehem Lutheran School for the first time in three years! Forest Ecology, Outdoor Survival, Confidence Course and Energy in our World will be explored over the next three days.


Freeland High School students used their CNC plasma cutter to create nameplates for their toolboxes! Their school received the new plasma cutter as part of the SME PRIME (Partnership Response in Manufacturing Education) curriculum through the Marshall Plan for Talent grant. Mr. Byrne, Freeland Industrial Technology Teacher, said the kids are really enjoying using the new equipment and machinery.

Here is the answer to last weeks riddle. Those are Canada Goose Tracks in the melting ice of Eddy Lake here at Hartley. They arrived back on March 3rd and will quickly pick out a spot to nest (on the island is the best) and fiercely defend that against their Goose neighbors.
