What does an ISD do anyway?
At Saginaw ISD, we power Saginet, which provides a reliable internet connection to 18 school districts across our region. We also deliver essential technology and cybersecurity support, helping schools stay connected and protected from growing digital threats. 💻🔒

The SISD's Wellness Committee's cool tips for hot-weather workouts :
Exercising in hot weather can put serious stress on the body. Without the right precautions, it can lead to heat exhaustion or heat stroke (conditions that may require medical attention). The good news is you don’t have to pause your workout routine when it’s warm. With a few smart strategies, you can stay active while protecting your health…even as things heat up.
Safety Tips for Hot-Weather Workouts:
• Keep hydrating: Drink water before, during, and after exercise.
• Know the signs of heat exhaustion: Watch out for symptoms like dizziness, nausea, headaches, a quick pulse, or excessive sweating. Stop immediately if you experience them.
• Lean into lighter movement: Stay active (without overdoing it) by engaging in gentle movement like walking, stretching, or yoga instead of high-intensity workouts.
• Avoid peak daytime heat: Refrain from exercising outdoors during the sun's strongest hours (10 AM to 4 PM).
• Dial down intensity: Go slow or shorten your session when the heat is high.
• Stay inside: Opt for indoor workouts at home or in a gym with air conditioning.
• Try swimming: Switch up your routine with swimming—a great low-impact, full-body workout.
