Last week, the Great Start to Quality Eastern Team joined the nine other Resource Centers and the Early Childhood Investment Corporation for a 2-day Statewide Meeting. Among other learning, we took a deep dive into the Statewide and Regional data. On day two, it was requested that each Resource Center team choose a theme and dress according to the theme. Our team decided on "Strength-Based". After choosing individual strengths, we decided to dress in '80s workout gear and wrote our strengths on our headbands. We then created a vision board based on the data. We love connecting together and connecting with our colleagues across the state! We are stronger together! #GreatStarttoQuality #SaginawISD #OurStory

At last week's Systems Work meeting, Michigan Integrated Continuous Improvement Process (MICIP) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) teams were able to dig into some really robust reports that they could generate in our student information system (SIS), Skyward. Thank you to Data & Skyward SIS Manager, Terra Kelpinski, for sharing these tools to assist in data-driven decision making. #SaginawISD #Orange

Newsletter-style image titled “REMC IN THE NEWS, Issue No. 25, May 2025.” The main headline reads “REMC Visits Gratiot-Isabella” with a large group photo of REMC members at a baseball stadium. A paragraph underneath explains that members gathered for their final meeting of the year to collaborate on community-building, educational support systems, and school visit planning. Smaller photos show the Gratiot-Isabella RESD building, the Shepherd High School “Shepherd Shop” sign, and REMC members inside a school setting. The bottom section is titled “REMC Visits Midland,” featuring two images: one of REMC members outside the historic Dow Gardens building, and another of people seated in a modern classroom or meeting space.

Millet Learning Center staff and students do a great job of acknowledging and celebrating all our cultural differences. Thanks to our wonderful lunch hero Miss Christina for turning the cafeteria into a fiesta. Participating in Cinco de Mayo celebrations can foster a more inclusive environment where individuals feel valued and respected for their differences.

Keyshawn of Millet Learning Center was very grateful to have joined Ms. Polzin's class today for an afternoon to watch a Great Lakes Loons game behind home plate, and see a home run! Mr. Wegner is proud of Keyshawn for safely and responsibly navigating Dow Diamond, independently choosing and ordering his burger for lunch, and maintaining a respectful calm attitude while navigating dense ballpark crowds! #MilletStrong #OurStory
