Saginaw County CTE “Alison is extremely hard working and is always willing to learn new skills and applications. In Alison's current job as an administrative assistant at MyMembers Insurance in Shields, she answers the phone, answers emails, makes copies, and enters information in databases.” Kristen Palmer, Swan Valley H.S. Instructor and Work-Based Learning Placement Coordinator ”I am generally quiet and shy, so my job at MyMembers Insurance as an administrative assistant helps me break out of my shell and learn new skills every day. Youth Ambassadors - For a Day or a Lifetime, Cohort 4, spent their day yesterday exploring the world of public safety, gaining firsthand insight into the vital roles that keep our community safe. The day kicked off at the Saginaw County Jail, where Undersheriff Gomez provided an inside look at law enforcement operations. Next, the group headed to the Saginaw County Courthouse, meeting with Judge Fichtner, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Blair Stevenson, and Assistant Public Defender Emilie Lyday to discuss the justice system in action. From there, the team suited up for a visit to Saginaw Fire Department Station 1, witnessing the dedication and rapid response of our local firefighters. The day wrapped up with an eye-opening session with the Mobile Medical Response Team, showcasing the lifesaving efforts of emergency medical personnel. Thank you to all of our hosts and coaches for making this day an unforgettable day for the ambassadors! #youthambassadors #ourctestory #ourstory
