Joani Liesen and Shannon Thompson, Great Start to Quality Eastern Resource Center team, are spreading #orange in Genesee County today. The Genesee Great Start Collaborative, along with their partners, are putting together bags to support social-emotional skills in children ages birth to five. Saginaw ISD is proud to share that our very own DeMichael Ezell, who works security at Claytor Preschool, was honored with the 2024 Community Service Award by members of our local Kiwanis Club (Brian Jackson, Kelly Shay, Jim Sharon, and Deb Trombley). DeMichael was celebrated for being a great person who continually supports others and is a beacon of light to all! It is truly remarkable to be recognized for good deeds that are done as if no one is watching! #SaginawISD





Today is Manufacturing Day and to celebrate, Mr. Grady's Industrial Tech class at Birch Run High hosted guest speakers from Nexteer and Birch Machinery Company this morning! These awesome local employers took the time to chat with students about careers in manufacturing—from skilled trades to engineering. Love solving problems, building things, or working with cool tech? Manufacturing has something for everyone!
