As part of the Wellness Committees continued focus on staff wellbeing, we encourage the practice of meal prepping as a simple yet effective strategy for maintaining balanced nutrition throughout the workweek. Meal prepping involves preparing meals or components of meals in advance, which can help: -Save time during busy weekdays -Support healthier eating habits -Reduce daily decision fatigue around food choices -Minimize food waste and unnecessary expenses Whether it’s preparing full meals or simply organizing snacks and ingredients ahead of time, meal prepping can make it easier to stay energized and focused throughout the day.

As part of the Wellness Committees ongoing commitment to staff wellbeing, we encourage exploring mindful approaches to nutrition—such as intuitive eating. Intuitive eating is a self-care framework that promotes a healthy relationship with food by focusing on internal cues like hunger, fullness, and satisfaction, rather than external diet rules. This approach encourages individuals to: Let go of restrictive eating patterns Respond to the body's natural hunger and fullness signals Cultivate a positive and respectful attitude toward food and eating Prioritize physical and emotional wellbeing over weight or appearance By embracing intuitive eating, we can support not only our physical health but also reduce stress around food and foster a more sustainable, balanced lifestyle. See the flyer on this post for more tips about intuitive eating!

Today, Officers Diem and Catherwood from the St. Charles Police Department stopped by for a visit at our Murphy Farm Preschool! The kids loved seeing the lights on the car (and hearing the horn). They asked lots of questions and had a blast learning about safety, helping others, and how cool police badges actually are. Huge thanks to our local heroes for taking the time to connect with our students! 👮

Children in Ms. Elaina's classroom at Valley Preschool are studying plants. They have bean sprouts in bags on the window and seeds in pots. The children are observing and charting the growth. Did you know that Jerome Preschool has its own greenhouse? This will help children take their STEM activities, such as this, to a whole new level! Enroll now for the 2025/2026 school year! Call (989)752-2193 to start the application with one of our dedicated Family Service Advocates! #OurStory #SaginawISD
