Many thanks to our wonderful families like Maci's, from Linnea Nelson's class, who volunteered for the Spring Book Fair. Millet Learning Center's book fair would not be possible without them. Please stop in and check out all the great books or gift a book to a student or class wish list. We need YOU to keep the Scholastic Book Fair coming back to MLC. https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/content/fairs/fair-finder.html

Students in Ms. LaToya's Valley Preschool classroom have been working hard on their study of pets! They have documented what pets they have as a class and even sent in pictures of their pets from home. Children explored what pets eat and where they live. Then, children created their own pet fish and named it so everyone could have their own pet. These young scientists are learning so much! #OurStory #SaginawISD

Mornings are always better with coffee! ☕ Teacher Olga Kirsanova and her class at Millet Learning Center take orders each day by sending out a coffee and treat form via email. Once the orders are in, students get to work preparing and delivering them with care. Payment can be made upon delivery with cash or a prepaid card. This process is a fantastic opportunity for students to practice customer service, attention to detail, and accountability—and they’re doing an amazing job! Thank you for your hard work, team!

Allise Noble, resident art instructor from Michigan Arts Access, had her last session with our Millet Mustangs last week. Students loved working in a variety of mediums and learned about accomplished artists, many of whom had disabilities or exceptionalities themselves. Thank you, Allise, for dedicating your time and expertise to teaching our students the wonderful world of art. Your guidance and passion have truly made a difference in their creative journey. #SaginawISD 🎨

Millet Learning Center Paraprofessional Zoey Parker would like to nominate Custodian Travis Culver for an Orange Spot Recognition. Zoey says, "I have seen him help people with cleanup, lifting, and other tasks, and he goes out of his way. He even helped me in my room by cleaning extra places and getting my laundry basket from the kitchen. Travis loves to joke with others and makes them smile, even if our staff is having a bad day; he always has a special joke to cheer them up and helps anyone in need." 🧡🐸 #OrangeFrog #Custodians #Recognition #MLC #GoMustangs
